We want to close up and self-protect when we get hurt.  But we can't love when we do that as love is meant to be shared.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I decided last year that rather than to hide myself and be unavailable, I would get out there and enter into relationships and accept invitations and say yes a lot more.  That's how we became friends.
