Jerry's post above is so true (wherever Cursillo is :) You need be friends with someone before you can GENTLY bring up the teaching of the Holy Catholic Church, especially if she has not been well educated. In the words of St. Paul:

For though I am free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. From my understanding, in a situation as that, as long as the divorced person does not have intercourse with another person, he is still in a state of grace. I'm in the process of getting things resolved. I went to confession and as long as we refrain from "towel folding" we are still in a state of grace and can recieve communion.

Hi Jerry!! I was wondering... shouldn't the priests be held responsible also for contributing to the sin of a person who is taking the Holy Eucharist when it is well documented that this person is not in agreement with the Holy Catholic Church?

ND Response Invites Pro-Lifers to Join Prayerful, Respective Demonstration on Commencement Day
One Million Rosary Campaign to continue til Commencement

SOUTH BEND, Indiana, May 6, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - ND Response, the student coalition at the University of Notre Dame protesting the school's invitation to President Obama, has announced a preliminary itinerary for a peaceful demonstration to be held on campus the day of commencement. The group is also sponsoring a "Rosary Crusade" asking for one million rosaries to be offered for the conversion of Obama, the University, and the U.S. before graduation day.

The University of Notre Dame has invited President Obama to give the commencement address and receive an honorary law degree. The invitation triggered a groundswell of outrage from over 350,000 petitioning Catholics and 66 U.S. bishops who oppose the show of honor to the staunchly pro-abortion president by a Catholic University.

The official demonstration will be on the South Quad between 11am and 4pm on Sunday, May 17. The group's website states: "The students of this coalition would like to extend an invitation to all those interested in joining us on campus on May 17th as we respectfully give witness to Notre Dame's Catholic identity and pro-life principles."

The group notes that no graphic images or "negatively-worded" signs will be permitted on Notre Dame's campus, and that individuals not complying with the student rules are subject to being escorted off campus.

According to the preliminary schedule, the rally will begin the evening of May 16 with Eucharistic adoration, where students, parents, alumni, church groups, Catholic clubs, and pro-life organizations will be called upon to keep vigil throughout the night. Notre Dame's Bishop John DArcy, who is boycotting commencement on account of the Obama honor, confirmed that he would attend the beginning of the vigil.

Commencement day will include Sunday Mass, after which the rally on the South Quad will commence at 12:30. The rally will feature several speakers including Dr. David Solomon, the Director of the Notre Dame Center for Ethics & Culture, and Chair of the steering committee for the Notre Dame Fund to Protect Human Life.

Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, is scheduled to lead a prayer vigil for the remainder of the rally.

A rosary campaign seeking one million rosaries for conversion regarding the sanctity of life is also being sponsored by the student group in the final days before commencement.

"Please join us in praying for a change of heart for President Obama, particularly regarding the sanctity of life; for the Catholic character of the University of Notre Dame; and for a greater respect for human life around the world," states the website.

"We know that this controversy has gained much attention worldwide," it continues, "but we are aware that our story is merely one case among many in which the struggle of Catholics in political life becomes clear.

"Our sad situation is an occasion for Catholics across the country, and worldwide, to reflect on the tragedy of abortion, the real danger of policies opposed to life, and the important role we must play in fighting for the dignity of all human life."
