First off - let me applaud your enlightened, expanded definition of Web3. This goes FAR beyond the status quo meaning of Web3 today - which stops at blockchain and crypto.

So right on - to your three! Thank you!

Now for what's missing.

Two key foundational technologies are getting completely left off and OUT of the Web3 "stack":

- AI
- IoT

This is probably because these two trends were the hottest trends right BEFORE Crypto blew up. I'm not sure if its revenge and jealousy, closed mindedness or what, but this exclusion is just insane!

There's been so much money "earned" (or shall I say appreciated) that (for some reason) nobody mentions AI or IoT. Its as if they've been banned and banished to Siberia.

It was awesome to hear you folks mention Creators and Building - check √. One for the good guys!

And metaverse and XR technologies? Of course.

Lets just try and INCLUDE AI and IoT in all later definitions of Web3.

Which Miles movie did you like the best:

- the other "official" version?

I had a drummer in a Band (in the early 80's) - Geordie Gillespie, who lived upstairs from Miles - during the 75-80 junkie phase, when he took off from performing.

He told me a story of Miles taking his .45 and shooting a hole through his (Mile's roof) which was Geordie's floor.

Luckily the bullet didn't hit anybody.

I remember hanging out in a bar called the "Drin und Druit" at the current location of Sumo Amsterdam - Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 4, 1012 RZ Amsterdam, Netherlands

A few different hug chunks of hash (like 500g) were sitting on the bar and the dealer would "whack off" a chunk to sell you some.

How can anyone ever forget that!

It was at this bar that I discovered Gram Parsons and the Grevious Angel.

Then journalists like yourself repeat her accussations without checking the facts or getting the context right. Thus we have Fake News. Which actually HURTS the cause of stopping sexual harrassment.

Now that there are these two posts (one on VCs and one on Founders) maybe someone should write a post on:

- "All the ways that Founders get their companies stolen from them"

- "15-100 ways to get rid of a Founder."

Which would then be followed up with an article called:

- "All the ways a Founder can sue after being kicked out of the company they founded"

- "How to prevent your co-founders and investors, who just kicked you out of your own company, from ever raising any more money - until they take care of you and do the right thing"

I think both those articles would be great to see.

Turns out that I started Cola and came up with the idea.

Then I hired these guys Temkin and McEvoy.

They kicked me out of my own company.

I was born and raised at 4730 Kimbark. Went to Shoesmith, then Louis Wirth, then was part of the first graduating class at Kenwood in 1975.

An intruder was shot inside Kenwood High 50 ft from my English class freshman year.

Our home was repeatedly broken into. My bike or baseball mitt was repeatedly stolen by kids who'd run across 47th st - stop - and wave back!

My guitar teacher played with Muddy Waters. I first went to the orig Checkerboard Lounge (at 43rd % Vincennes) when I was 15.

When my mother died, my father got them to rename Wirth to the "Miriam G. Canter Middle school."

If the Obama children had been sent to public school (which they weren't) they'd have attended my mother's school.

Now it's closed down....

As a 30+ serial entrepreneur I used up my :15 minutes of fame years ago.

I've been ripped off by Tony Perkins. I've stayed up late to pitch Brian Solis. I encouraged Leonard Brody to propose marriage to Debbie Landa. I even joined the fabled "Wearable World" incubator!

And through it all I've kept my eye on the prize of what matters. Quality product, excellent user experience, community engagement and unbridled enthusiasm which doesn't prevent me from being humble and applying to these sorts of contests.

Why?

Because we have the next big thing in Messahing that is so awesome most people simply say "I know EXACTLY what I'd do with that! Where can I download it?"

That's what starting companies is all about!

Prioritizing expenses, building a team, making sure to schmooze the right players and asking for nothing but connects to other insiders.

"If they're smart - they'll invest."

Yah - yah I know we need traction.

That's why I want to go to Grow.

How's that?

Thank you sir - I'm glad you chimed in.

This issue of "whether a programmer" can use a system or not - is close and dear to my heart. From the UI/UX I see in your video - you're showing fairly complex flow charts, data structs and running on the assumption that these are concepts and notions that "non-programmers" can understand and grok.

Can I assume that your target customers - as were discussed in the article - are all incredibly geeky, domain experts who even UNDERSTAND what a data or UX flow chart IS! What a data structure IS! What the hell it is you're talking about?

Cause - to me - that's not a non-programmer. That's a severely geeky domain expert. They may not be programming in Java, C++ or even php - but this AIN'T something being done by marketing folks, teachers, AV Installers, personal trainers, consultants, Tour Guides or Game Masters.

Correct?

Not once do I see a mention of the tool that does all this "low-code" development work. If they'r enot coding and they're NOT using Visual Studio - then what are they utilizing to put together teh App?
