Ha! One difference is that, while the benefits are poorly distributed, Americans have generally done pretty well by their empire. They also have a functioning electoral system (except for the recent vote fraud, which is being fixed). Even if we don't agree with their politics, they generally get the results they want. Canada is marginally better (and Trudeau will be gone in 2025, with the main damage being loss of freedoms, not death and misery). The other difference is that leaving the current elected representatives, whether Canadian or American, in place doesn't mean a large proportion of the people are going to die, or have their lives ruined. Yours are. It is a completely different level of danger, and anybody paying attention can see that. Have fun with your choices, or lack thereof!

I'll look into it, but Substack appears to be easy to use, and is trendy. The one issue so far is you can't embed tweets. You used to be able to, but Elon and Peter are having a PayPal pals tiff. There is a work-around by taking a screenshot of the tweet and putting the twitter link as a link to the image of the screenshot.

Yes. Unfortunately, the only cases where non violence has worked are cases where the Powers That Be have had their own reasons to want the change. Those cases are rare, as the Powers That Be have almost always set things up the way they like. The massive problems we face in the West turn on the fact that the billionaires, and (((billionaires))) have no fear of the people.
