I am so happy that where I gave birth we had private delivery rooms. I told my husband that no matter what, even if I was dying, he keeps his eyes on the baby so there were no mix ups. I even packed a sharpie so that if she had to be transported or anything we could mark her foot! Of course, that was 3rd trimester paranoia, and nothing happened, but I can understand how heartbreaking it is to feel as if the other momma either turned the baby off her own mother's breast, or that the other woman did something easily that is hard. All because the staff person failed to follow procedure.

I don't know when that became not an option. I take my almost 1 year old to restaurants, and she knows how to behave! I was never allowed to wander around the way I see kids doing now.

How will you avoid abuse by global mods? For example, if they have power in every chat, how will you be sure that they are not 1) promoting their own channel and attempting to find their own new viewers at the expense of the streamer they are "Moderating" 2) Not using the position as "revenge" on streamers who either did not accept them as a channel mod, or have banned them 3) Playing favorites to boost their prefered streamers 4) creating multiple accounts to be a mod in one, and a troll in the other? It seems like they are being granted a lot of power. How will streamers be able to report abuse? How will Twitch protect the streamers and the mods? And why do we need to "say our prayers" before applying? That implies that a religious affiliation is required as part of the application process. Can you be any religion, or just specific ones? Can you pray to Allah, God, Jehova, Satan and Thor? What about agnostic and atheist streamers? Can they apply to be mods?

I think the best part was how the emergency department and parents handled it. It sounds like they made far more of an impact teaching and showing him than shaming him on Facebook or over the top punishment for parents would create.

Some of these are clearly over the top, but people do not think that their "little cold" could be much harder on an infant. When my daughter was under a month old, we had people who planned to visit, but became ill (it was the middle of cold/flu season) and sometimes they just don't think it's a big deal. Depending on where in the world you live, there maybe valid reasons to request things like the TDAP. Where I live in AZ is known for outbreaks, and every person in my family got their shot before she was born. To us, she's just more important than a small co-pay and a wait at the doctors or a clinic, it wasn't even a question. Our doctors all recommended it while I was pregnant. Another great reason I have found to ask, is it lets me know RIGHT away if I'm dealing with an anti-vaxxer. I'd rather trust science and come off a little pushy then assume that people who don't have children or older children might not be thinking all the things a parent things. Of course, some people do take things too far, but they might have pushy family that shows up ignoring their "little cold" that turns out to be something much nastier in a baby.

All of my close family got the Tdap when I was 8-9 months pregnant. Even my brother who has only seen the baby twice. Now that she is old enough to have had her 2 month shots, I am still wary of taking her too many places because of the anti-vaxxers and measles. I want to take her places, I want her to experience germs to build a good immune system, but there are a few things I am not willing to risk. When does your right to doubt science, global warming, vaccines or dinosaurs give you the right to put my newborn only child at risk? If you don't believe in dinosaurs, it has little effect on the rest of us, but if you don't vaccinate, you turn your children into plague rats.

Our baby is only 3 weeks old, and everyone is already harassing me to find out when our next one will be arriving! I will admit that the labor and pregnancy downsides are already starting to fade, but come on! Can I just enjoy my new baby for at least a month or 2 before I start Duggaring it up? I was puking for all 9 months, which had the benefit of not a lot of weight gain, but that's not a bonus that I wanted! Right now I kinda feel like we got a great baby, everything turned out ok, why risk having something go wrong?

I am 19 days from my due date, and I can say that right now, all I would like is some company. I am so lucky that my husband works from home, and has a super flexible job, and loves to cook. In fact, I don't think I've made a single dinner in over 3 months... but there are times when I want to have a conversation with someone other than him. Come hang out with me and I'll be thrilled. I would actually be freaked out by some people if they brought food - I've seen their houses!

I can't stand their views, and they are everything that is wrong with fundamentalism....however, they have the right to have their views based in their "faith" and they have the right to share those views. Censoring them by removing them from the air will do nothing except erode all Americans rights to free speech. I'd rather have them on air, and keep reading articles that expose their hatred and bigotry then to have them swept under a rug where they can undermine equal rights in secret.

Nowhere in the definition of Racist does it say that this only applies when directed from the majority to the minority. Regardless of who you are, slurs based on ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation etc are abhorrent and ignorant.

All racism - redneck or reverse - is based in anger and fear. As long as you pat one on the head and say it's alright because you're an XYZ - you are just continuing to encourage the cycle of hatred.
