He's caused enough grief. Refusing to respond to SEA negotiation requests until he could put them in a sling is dirty. Letting it drag on into a strike and making it the teachers' fault is lying. I don't let my kids behave that way, I don't want the person in charge of the schools operating that way. Seattle schools need to be uplifted. If he had any scruples, he wouldn't be campaigning for this raise while Rainier Beach High School school kids walk in the dark to school because SPS won't provide their promised Orca cards. He's dragging us down. I expect our new school board to rectify this.

Who should be organizing a strike against a contract for those who are employed under said contract? Almost every person who works in a Seattle school building is a SEA member.

I want the people who see my kids 8 hours a day to be able to afford living in the district. it's not just about teacher pay. We are not offering competitive salaries for classified staff and specialists. We are losing special ed staff to other districts over better pay constantly.

The teacher violated several federal laws by posting that online. It doesn't matter what that it's a closed group. No group is truly private. She should be fired.

Kegel type exercises are not proven to improve sexual enjoyment. Not having sex with men who feel it's a women's duty to be pleasurable improves enjoyment significantly.

I was in the middle of #CrimingWhileWhite yesterday. It was well received. As other comments state, it's defeating to tell the people who are trying to acknowledge their privilege to stop acknowledging said privilege. Excellent conversations happened yesterday. I have been told over and over that my job as an "ally" is to educate other white people of their privilege. My main outlet is the busiest social media network, with a hashtag that points directly back to how I was given a free pass by the justice system when it would have put a person of color behind bars.

Comparing it to #alllivesmatter is a false equivalency. Nobody tweeting that hashtag means anyone well other than themselves. It's erasure, plain as day.

Employers can make jobs "at will." It must be clearly stated in the employment paperwork in most states . There are due process and wrongful termination laws. Unemployment pay is insurance that employees and employers pay into. The determination of payment is made by the state and the employer can be used by the state without the employee being part.

Unless the models are listed next to Goude's name after the title, the are not collaborative works. I they were credited, they would be as guilty as Goude for collaborating with the obvious distastefulness in his artistic choices.

Woo-hoo for your friend. Multiple Myeloma is a blood cancer, not brain cancer. Let's force everyone in the cancer wards to continue treatment, even when it's not working.
