Odd huh! I love dry marshmallows!

Re: Now, I’m Shocked…

I couldn't agree with you more. Morals and strong values start at home, and at early ages. The mistake that I see in working with middle school kids is that parents wait until they're that age (or even high school sometimes) to enforce the "respect authority, respect others, respect yourself" value. America, or the world for that matter, would be a better place if parents took the time to teach honor, respect and basic morals at a young age and then enforced them.

Re: Obama, Nobel, and Awarding What?

Can't wait to read comments on this one! Hey, can we get my 5 year old nominated for the next NPP? She is really polite and makes sure that other kids are nice to each other and that they say "please" and "thank you".

Re: Business, Spirituality, and God....

Thank you for sharing your experience via blog. I was just reading up on Sukkot, wondering how many people of Jewish faith actually follow through on Holy days. And I couldn't agree more with you on the fact that any of our successes are a gift from God, not of ourselves. Sure, we work our tails off, but God gives the increase.

Re: Reason 2,307 why I love NYC…

I love Peanut Butter and Co.'s products! I on the otherhand, am so sad to see her growing up so fast! I know that I've done my part in teaching her respect, manners and the golden rule, and I know she'll do great.

It's bittersweet for sure.

Re: Would You Talk About KY Jelly? : Never Stop Marketing

First of all, they'd have to have a paraben free, petro chemical free version. Then I'd buy it with no questions asked and recommend it to my friends. I have no qualms with recommending a "taboo" item, because hey, if you're married, what you do in your bedroom (or wherever else) with your spouse is your business, and you may as well enjoy it.

When it comes to personal care items, I don't skimp. Others may, but if you're putting that on (or in) your body, it's got to be top of the line. I'm not gonna use something with mineral oil or petroleum as it's main ingredient.

And making it with a decent logo/catch phrase is important if you have kids. I don't want something trashy looking, with a silouette of anyone on it. It's pretty obvious as an adult what you're going to use it for, so we don't need "illustrations".

In the end, it comes down to quality ingredients and letting people know why it's better! If they point out what is in most other lubricants and where they come from, that would be a big deal. Everyone's on the "green" bandwagon anyway, so why shouldn't your personal lubricant follow suit?

Re: Would You Talk About KY Jelly? : Never Stop Marketing

Definately a "taboo" subject for general conversation, but I'd be completely comfortable talking about it with my girlfriends. To me, if you're in mixed company, it could be a bit awkward to say the least. Honestly, the way I see it, the best advertising campaign they could do would be setting up "house parties" that their raving fans could use for personal showers, ladies night out or a ladies get-together of some sort and hand out samples. Along with feminine products, KY is one of those things you don't want to be seen with in the check out line @ your local W**-Mart, because you'll probably end up running into your neighbor or the little old lady that sits in front of you at church. Then you want to just crawl under a rock and hide! I can remember finding KY in my parents' drawer when I was looking for something else and being completely embarassed that I found it, but at least I know they were "healthy". While I don't see the need for a huge ad campaign, like Quizno's tacky ads talking about hitting your "q-spot", (which by the way, I found horribly offensive since I had to explain to my 6 year old daughter why the people were moaning as they ate their sub sandwich) I think they'd have an amazing response and product sales would go sky high if they did something like Yes To Carrots did with their house parties. I don't know of many guys that would object to their wives bring home a "goody bag" from KY, to try thing out, then maybe have a website set up to give feedback and testimonials. It doesn't have to be a dirty topic, and it can be done without an all out campaign that everyone and their grandma sees. In fact, it could be made into a very cool campaign that could be a huge boost for the company and couples everywhere! I think they'd even have more sales from the "conservative" customer base, who typically wouldn't buy lubricants and such because of the negative connotation they have if they made it a more family friendly campaign. Instead of Pampered Chef or Home Interiors party, I know tons of ladies who would enjoy a night out with their girlfriends, a bag of samples to try and a surprised hubby when they got home! I'd love to see J&J do something like that, and I'd even host a party! I know the "real housewives" around here would have a blast, and I wouldn't be embarassed at all to attend a "ladies night in"! It could be a very tasteful campaign, utilizing mostly wom and social networking. More green and cost effective than magazine and tv ads, and I wouldn't have to worry about my 4 and 6 year old daughters asking too many "why" questions!

Re: Of Course You Do, You Are A Jew!

Ugh, that woman needs a good talkin' to! I'm not ashamed to say that I'm a Christian, and yes, I do believe that there is only one way to Heaven, thru Jesus Christ. I don't push my belief system onto anyone, but I am ready to give an answer for those who have questions as to why I believe what I believe. I can give answers from the Old and New Testiments that back up what I believe, but I'm not going to shove it down a non-Christian's throat, or worse yet, talk down to them because of their faith (or lack thereof).

It breaks my heart to know that people like her are out there...and I'm SO sorry that you had to experience that. Lets hope she keeps her mouth shut on the next flight...she may just end up "talking smack" to the wrong person. On behalf of those of us who aren't psychos, and who DO believe that Jesus Christ is the risen Son of God, I'm sorry that happened to you.

Re: Imitation as the highest form of flattery?

That's priceless!
