What a cutie! I have five boys and over the years I have gone through novelty, boredom, despair and now necessary ingenuity! I like H&M, Zara, charity shops and old ladies knitting stalls. My youngest little man today wore a nautical stripe polo shirt, mustard yellow skinny jeans and orange deck shoes. He looked so cute. In winter it's chunky cardies, hand knitted scarves, country quilt jackets and tweed flat caps. I'd love to find boys clothes with more nature prints like owls, trees, toadstools etc. It's hard to get away from trucks, planes and trains but it is possible if you're prepared to hunt stuff down. Great blog!

Thank you Rosie. I have tried charts before but more the reward kind. They've only worked for a very short time and my shouting soon returns! I like the idea of deciding on consequences beforehand rather than in the heat of the moment. I'll definitely give it a try.

I struggle to get my children to actually dress themselves, let alone do anything else. Their bedroom is a mess. There is too much in it and I make excuses that this is why they can't tidy it as it's too cluttered. I can't get them to do anything without stamping my feet and having a terrible tantrum. I feel pretty hopeless. I have four of them. They drop crisp packets on the floor unless I rant and rave at them. How can I get them to do things the first time I ask them calmly?

ooh i just bought a teal cardigan and some teal plates! I'm normally drawn to pink but teal is really attracting me lately. maybe it's the change of season? - i just set the little girl as my desktop background. she reminds me of myself when i was 6.

ah my number 2 son starts school this september, number 1 has completed reception and goes into year 1. I still have two 'babies' at home but even so i am well aware of how fast the time goes. Every stage of their life is precious, even when they're testing us! I also have one who like to dance naked in the rain! his lips go blue but he still won't come in. I would freeze!

Oh i'm sad that I missed it! Personally i'm all for everything in moderation. If these women weren't into being 'period' wives, they'd be taken over with something else. Some people need that. Good for them if that's what makes them happy. It all looks very romantic in the picture but makes me wonder what lies behind the image. I wouldn't have the willpower to commit to a lifestyle that wholeheartedly. I change my mind too much! And I like being that way. I love my vintage tea towels but I also love my big telly and laptop!

Yes Flylady and I are old friends! She regularly gives me a much needed kick up the jacksy! I have to say life has never seemed so totally out of control since I met flylady. 15 minutes. Babysteps. Shiny sinks. Daily missions. I love it!

hey thanks hon, but i've had a mental post-baby moment and got a hair cut since that photo! I'm not going near a camera again until it's grown at least 2 inches! That should take just about enough time for the baby fat to drop off my chin too! Well thank goodness I don't have to shave my face eh? What's he like!
