I just finished negotiating pricing and production with an Chinese factory owner over a few bottles of whiskey.  I can't count how many rough times with customers I've smoothed over with a good night out in Hollywood.  Many new business and personal contacts I have today were made at some sort of "networking" (aka drinking) event.
