I get the feeling maybe you haven't used Google Play Music? While there are radio stations available on the service, it's not "randomly fed" to you - you can pick any song to play on demand, a la Spotify. It's quite good.

I am so bummed that the issue from last week sitting on my desk is the last one ever. I really liked the new format -- so much easier to read, and made much more sense to me given the nature of the content.

But what affects me far more directly each day is that I can no longer listen to WFNX while I work. What I have realized, though, is that it's more fitting for FNX to fail while trying something new (alternative radio online only) than to disappear with a sale of FM airwaves to Clear Channel.

I actually like the new one better than either the old one or the old-old one. I really like the icon, and though it's a tad cartoony, it definitely evokes a sense of nostalgia. I really enjoy the type as well. And I don't think it goes back to what they were trying to avoid, because "National Trust" isn't *bigger* than "Historic Preservation." It's just the same size.
