We understand your concern. However, the information about the search was provided to us from the Seattle Parks Department. They wanted users of the park to understand why there were three teams of search dogs in the area on Wednesday. It is also important to understand that this is not a criminal investigation, this search was conducted by a private firm that was brought in by the family.

We were not given the age of the well dressed burglar arrested in these burglaries but we know he is not a teen. His arrest is not related to the arrest of the 19 year old who was caught trying to break into a home on 24th Ave West. Two seperate cases.

To clarify, as stated in the story, the parade does start at 10:30am. We included that staging starts at 8:30am because there will be congestion and street closures starting at that time.

Whenever we are using information written by someone else, we put it in italics and identify it as such. We do not make changes to items that we are using from readers when we are quoting them directly.
We think this reader did a good job by sharing the information and letting people in the area know about a break in.
We know the difference between a robbery (use of weapon) and a burglary and we have changed our portion of the post.
