Man is naturally self-absorbed and regardless of the religious institution involved, be it Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism or even Atheism, man will continue to be self-absorbed. It's our job to care enough to weed through the bull-s*** to find the truth. It saddens me that so many people will allow the failings of other individuals dictate their personal religious journey, without even making an attempt to figure it out on their own.

Amen to what you said. I couldn't agree more. If the God of the universe realized that free will, rather than control, is the way to deal with man, we should be doing the same. Freedom of choice, of creativity, of figuring out how to live and love God in your own way.
