This is a tough one,
I guess its a combination of having a solid body of work, and having the confidence to actually say you're an artist.
Then again, I have a huge body of work and I don't call myself an artist, only to old people to make it easier for them to understand what I do.
I think I don't call myself an artist because I am constantly striving to do better. Perhaps once I reach what better is, I will be able to be like "yeah Im here, I'm an artist!" but is photography considered art? I guess it's a form of artistic expression I suppose.
Well that didn't quite answer anything.

Wel i had a 35mm point and shoot and did about 4 rolls on there.
Thats about it though. I wish i had a mamiya or something with me I would have liked to do portraits or something. Next time!
It was my first trip out of canada i didnt know wat to expect!

thanks alot remi. I was really feeling that in there and wanted to give off that empty feel and shot a whole series of empty rooms in there. But again I think i need to sit a while longer so I can know how to post produce them

i like this guy a lot. He's super real and isn't trying sound articulate and bullshitting his reasoning for making art. He isnt trying to make a point. He likes art, so he does it. He likes beautiful women so he paints them.

Dude that's what im talking about. eff all dat bullsh*t reasoning for the public, this guy is just doing his thing and it's great.

Too bad when I give my reasoning "I take pictures because I like to. I photograph people because they are beautiful", isn't enough for photo intellectuals.
