If convicted, he should definitely lose his pension. Isn't there some law in the pension guidelines stating: if a person is convicted of a crime directly related to his job, the pension is automatically terminated. Yes, losing a life time pension is worse than jail.

Personally, I'm sick of this ... We(Haverhill) have the Flahertys; you(Salisbury) have L'Esperance ... These low quality people are always looking for an edge, never believing they did anything wrong. Of course, abusing the public trust is no big deal to them. Atty. Mr. Thompson should receive only the amount of money he contributed to his pension ... NOT ONE PENNY MORE!!! AND, fire the person in charge of checking(or not checking) the drivers license; that person is just as guility. Sure hope a better process is now in place to avoid another "situation".

Happened to be on North Commercial St., Manchester, NH yesterday near the falls. The water there is also brown, so it will be awhile before it's clear here. YUCK!!!

Stormclouds, that's what happens when you allow illegal immigrants to run the cities. It's not hard working people who want to be part of the solution, it's terrible people who want to have everything for nothing without paying into the system. If they don't get their "way" they result to violence. Deportation is the only answer. I have a friend in Lawrence who is afraid for her grandkids at the start of the school year. The violence is also in the schools; these kids learn from their parents so more unacceptable behavior is passed down to another generation. E-N-O-U-G-H!!! C'Mon, Deval, help Lawrence!!
