Is it the symbol or the solid circle?

My guess is that the structure style is the culprit. You may have to dig into the structure style settings and debug. Or, if you have a drawing that does display the correct structure style, import that style into the troubled drawing and overwrite the style settings.

Re: Public Parking Lots in Honolulu

The City must have cut off open access after I wrote the article. However, Revit must have some way to edit or customize their print-to-PDF function. You just need to find their options screen. Or, if you use Adobe's PDF Writer or Bluebeam to create PDFs, you can set the font embedding options in those programs.

Re: WATCH THIS

In a similar vein as War Photographer, you should watch Bang Bang Club (http://www.imdb.com/title/t.... I suspect there may be a problem with some of the plug-ins or presets I've loaded into LR. Unfortunately, there's no way to figure out which one is the problem while LR keeps crashing.

Anyway, when I renamed the Lightroom folder, a new Lightroom folder is created by Lightroom. LR is now happy and clean so everything works again.

Re: Poll: Dark Side of the Rainbow

Wizard of what?

Re: Vampire Serum Teaser 1 – shot on a TS3Cine slow motion camera

Sweet camera work there.

Re: Any device can be a Ting device

It has to deal with your settings for auto-updates. For example, I set Google Play to auto-update my apps only over wi-fi. When I tether my phone to a hotspot, my phone thinks its on wi-fi and will download whenever it can. When I'm on 4G/3G the phone knows the difference and refrains from downloading. This may not be a big issue for apps auto-updating but it is a very large issue for podcasts and digital media in general. The 2 - 3 GB of data I used to use only covered a fraction of the downloads because I scheduled the podcast downloads to occur at 4 a.m. when I was home and plugged into wall power.

Also, there is no way to make a phone favor a particular wi-fi network over another. It will remain on one network until the signal is lost and then scan for the strongest signal of whatever remembered network is in range. My Galaxy S2 will automatically disconnect from 4G/3G and log on to wi-fi when I'm with range of my work or home wi-fi networks. If I were to tether to hotspot I carry around all the time, the phone would never jump onto another wi-fi network on its own. I'd have to manually switch networks or turn off the hotspot.

Re: Any device can be a Ting device

The big flaw in the plan is in downloads. I set my data-hogging apps (mostly the Google Play store and my podcatcher) to download over wi-fi. If I were to tether my phone to a Ting hotspot I would drive the data usage through the roof. I used to average between 2 - 3 GB/month when I was on an unlimited plan w/ my old carrier. Since switching to Ting and allocating my big downloads to wifi, I now use < 500 MB/month with no withdrawal symptoms.

As a side note, battery drain would also become an issue if you have two devices tethered together constantly. The device acting as the hotspot would need an external power source. I had a friend who did this a lot and ended up strapping his hotspot to a laptop-sized lithium battery so that he could keep it on all the time.

Re: Episode 18 - Toasted Nation

Congratulations Glenn (on getting married). The Marketing Over Coffee podcast was asking its audience for their favorite reputation metrics and services. I think even then Klout was the only common thread, but it wasn't used as it was intended. They used the Klout score to filter out robots. I think Chris Penn wrote a script that would auto-block his followers if their Klout score was less than 15 or 20. And, this system worked great for that purpose. But, they don't give much weight to someone's Klout once it is above a minimum threshold.

Re: Unscientific But Interesting Speed Test: Moto Droid w/Froyo vs. Nexus One w/Gingerbread Displaying App Management List (video) - ThinkMobile

Todd, it looks like the N1 is caching the list and icons.
