http://disqus.com/by/madlillady/enFri, 25 Jul 2008 07:24:17 -0000http://emeritus.blogspot.com/2008/07/dimebon-for-dementia.html#comment-998460<p>i've been told the third trial is underway very soon &amp; if that is so successful as the first two it will be on the market in two years time (2010) it's such a shame that it's going to take that long. i just hope the medication get's to the uk in 2010 &amp; not another few more years. i keep checking the web to see if there's any clinical trials over here but so far no good. thanks for all your comments.<br>(candy pebbles) i hope you find some thing for your dad soon.</p>madlilladyFri, 25 Jul 2008 07:24:17 -0000http://emeritus.blogspot.com/2008/07/dimebon-for-dementia.html#comment-975014<p>this sounds amazing. my mother has just been diagnosed with alzhiemers disease aged 68 &amp; she was very frightened &amp; so were all the family. i am her youngest child (24) &amp; i didn't know to much about the disease but have studied into it recently &amp; i just felt for her so bad.she is in the early stages.<br>hopefully this dimebon get's over here in the united kingdom soon so she can try it out.<br>i will most certainly see if she can put her name down for it.<br>she tried aricept on the 5mg which was fine but as sonn as she started the 10mg she felt really bad. she looked so ill. she stopped it then decided to give it another go but again it made her bad so she has stopped it completely. it's a shame cause that drug was supposed to be the best.<br>she is now on these patches which she has 2 change daily &amp; put in a different place every day also.<br>so i am very pleased something has been discovered for this disease &amp; for huntington's &amp; prostate cancer. i just hope evry body who has these disease's can try it soon because the longer it takes to get 2 all different countries etc.. the quicker the people with the disease will deteriate.<br></p>madlilladyWed, 23 Jul 2008 07:42:48 -0000
