Indeed it is a common problem and it happens not only in .NET (also in Rails, JPA and generally anywhere you use ORM). I would like to add that adding salt does not solve the problem - you should also use other hashing function instead of SHA (because it is too fast :)). I especially liked the result-oriented approach. The topic of this post could also be "the 7 ground rules of communication in team" as the rules fit for all team members :).

Re: http://www.kodefuguru.com/post.aspx?id=b2e1dcaf-eb56-4d5c-bb10-c84606b6fb12

Nice article. I agree with you that RedMonk ranking is crappy. They shouldn't mix language popularity with number of questions about doing things in a particular technology. To me the most noteworthy are job-based ranks, because they simply show whether you will make a living :). I'm on your side in terms of rich language features of C#, however it lacks the stability and reliability that Java provides. I left the .NET camp soon after Microsoft dumped Silverlight :|.

Re: Speed Up Development Time By Using Twitter Bootstrap

You caught my attention. I sometimes hear people saying that there are no more projects starting with JEE anymore. I think this is a common misconception caused by J2EE (1.4), like you mentioned in the beginning.

Re: OSGI – Modularizing your application

Nice article. Don't feel offended, but this post does not bring much value.

Re: 5 Differences Between C# and Java: Methods

I agree. I think C# is in many ways superior to Java, but not necessarily in the ways that was showed. Secondly, it looks that things will change from Java 8 and then it will be more reasonable to do a comparison.

Re: 5 Differences Between C# and Java: Data Types

I suppose this was thought to be a post proving that C# is a superior languange compared to Java. Despite I believe this is true (C# is indeed a better language), I think the features showed have little practical use. If I had to choose from the examples I would choose the lack of unsigned byte in Java as the most important feature Java does not support. On the other hand Java has also some nice features that C# has not, i.e. enums that are classes (not dummy integers) as in C#, which here was not mentioned.

Re: Spring vs Guice: The one critical difference that matters

Lesson learned.
