It seems like Twitter is doing everything it can to make its product less attractive to the people who made it so popular. They've effectively killed the usefulness of 3rd party apps, now they're killing the usefulness of their own app.

I switched to Mega - 20GB Free account. I like the service a lot better, and the fact that it's owned by the New Zealand government rather than an investor infused public company gives me a lot more confidence in security, stability and features of the app/service.

From what I've heard, this doesn't just "slide down" the menu bar. It takes your entire screen and shrinks it proportionately to fit below the menubar.

The patent is most likely for Apple's Magic Keyboard for iPad – which makes a lot more sense than for a MacBook. And it's most likely never going to see the light of day to begin with.

I just bought one the other day. I'll start by saying that I LOVE the MacBook Pro 16" keyboard, I LOVE the Apple Magic Keyboard with Num Pad. Heck, I even loved the butterfly keyboard that the rest of the world seems to hate. It was the MX Keys backlit keys that drove me to try it.

At first I didn't care for it, but after a few hours of use I really like the MX Keys. I don't know what you call it; pressure, travel, whatever... the keys are definitely harder to press than the Apple keyboards, but that's a good thing, in my opinion. I can't tell you how many times just hovering/resting my fingers on the Magic Keyboard resulted in an accidental key press—It happens a LOT. I dunno, maybe "harder to press" isn't the right way to describe it, I just feel like the MX keys require me to purposefully press them.

I do love the slight concave key tops to help keep my fingers on the right keys. And for some reason, I love how heavy this keyboard is. It doesn't slide around as easily as virtually every other keyboard I've ever used. Did I mention this keyboard is heavy? It gives it a more "premium" feel.

If all you're looking for is quick, simple calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide), just use Spotlight search (Command + Space).

WTF? Are people filming Hollywood-level motion pictures with their MacBook's camera? It's a webcam... nobody gives a toss about it but for a few bloggers. 90% of the people I know don't even turn the video on for a Zoom meeting anymore – and it's not because they think the camera is bad.

I hope the ability to turn OFF 5G is a permanent setting. In other words, I don't want it, and I don't want to have to make 2 or 3 taps to turn it off for every instance the OS tries to use it. I want to shut it off and never see it again.

The public beta runs beautifully on my 2014 15" MBPro (i7 w/32GB RAM). I don't have any 3rd party apps or utilities installed other than MS Office. The new Safari is quite nice. And I'm finding all manner of "little things" I like. Already, this is the best OS updated I've seen in a long, long, long time.

I hope they kill it. I've owned four Beats products. I found them all to have mediocre sound quality, really shitty construction quality, and one pair (the Beats X Pro) stopped charging properly two weeks after purchase.

If they kill the Beats brand, I hope they kill the physical products as well and not slap an Apple logo on them.

Sorry. I think you misinterpreted my comment.

This entire article talks about how the police can "cuff you" for violating the order. The order specifically states numerous things that are considered essential, such as simply exercising outdoors. The order also specifically states that you don't have to show proof of your activities to law enforcement (as John was pointing out).

So THIS article does in fact specifically contradict what the order clearly states.

I'm no lawyer, but it seems to me that this "order" is completely unenforceable because all you need to do is simply say "I'm exercising" or "I'm on my way to buy food" or "I'm checking on my parents." It's quite a joke, IMO.
