That's an awesome story. You know, what I didn't mention, for whatever reason, is that when this young man first started dancing, I thought to myself 'aw, man...an obnoxious young fan on drugs.' But it was the "thank you" that he muttered that brought it all together. It made so much sense. Sounds like you had a very similar experience.

Well shit, Katie. That's an incredibly powerful comment. I feel for you. I hope you're finding your way toward recovery without your Dad; it is certainly taking me time, but with every day comes new strength. Or so I hope. There are certainly ups and downs, though. It's so true, thought, that music is something we can all hold onto. It's something we can each interpret in our own way, but we all hear the same thing. Damn. Thank you for this comment, and for reminding me that I am not alone.
