I'm here with the same old story, some how I got hooked in the same "special offer" and now I have a 24 month contract with direct tv. A couple of months ago I called to cancel my $10 a month HD charges and they told me that I needed to return the HD receiver or else I will be paying the $10 a month; my wife and I decided to keep it for a couple more weeks and to our surprise we were charged $470 + tax for a receiver that we still using and paying the monthly service fee for. Since we have automatic withdraw they charged $511.98 extra to my checking account and since they almost dry out my account, and without being aware of this stuff my wife and I made 11 small transactions (gas, ice cream, etc..) using our bank card and now we owe our bank $330 dollars in NSF charges. I can't believe this crap!!! all because of Direct TV....<br>At this moment at so exhausted with all the calls and explaining to their piece of crap customer service from India (i'm mexican, just imagine a mexican and an indian having an english conversation) that couldn't help me with my problem. After my many calls and agreeing to keep the receiver, one of the reps filled out a request that will put my money back to my account in 3-5 days; once I received my money I will consider canceling my account and just buy one of these "free satellite" receivers (kind of a legal black box) for $200 and don't pay this crooks for their programming ever again. I'm so fed up with them, and now that I'm reading that the other competitors have the same hidden fees, I have no other option but to stay away from them.<br>If any one starts a law suit, please include my name and I'm willing to volunteer to go out to the street and/or make phone calls to get more people involved. in conclusion (excuse my language) FUCK DIRECT TV. </p>lupeGFri, 24 Jul 2009 16:03:14 -0000
