I agreed that impeccable craftsmanship and exquisite materials cost money but at the end of the day the question is raised, is it worth paying for a $100,000 handbag in order to get a sense of self worth or be a little bit more elite? Luxury industry has become part of our social fabric and changed our attitudes toward the economic class system. As a matter of fact, you are not paying for a handbag but for your status. As Samantha Jones in SATC exclaims "It's not a bag; it's a fucking Birkin!"
