This may fit in with the recent work of Rice University's James Tour.
That group were trying to plate rather than intercalate Li to their anode.
They got no dendrite growth if they incorporated highly conductive graphene nano ribbons in the anode even at high charging rates.
They also achieved very high energy densities; 943 Whr/kg.

Not sure the article is comparing "apples with apples".
$190 /kWhr number is battery PACK cost whereas when Elon is talking about <$100 /kWhr he is talking battery CELL cost.

Will it work on the Petro-Canada system just like on the 7-11? I am assuming it should as they are both Rogers based GSM systems as far as I know.
