I'm an empathetic, mindful person, but I have to disagree with you—I, and most people notice these things about others constantly, and form impressions based on these observations on a constant basis. That's human behavior. What we can control is to care or not care whether people observe these things and form impressions about us, but the fact is they do. So your self-affirmation should be to not care that this happens, not to delude yourself into thinking it doesn't.

Don't get me wrong—I really do hope she's okay. Are you a friend of hers? I assume so because you have first-hand knowledge of her having had a stroke. Also, you're probably the attending physician.

If it comes out that she's suffered physical harm, then it is sad and I will immediately remove my post. But until then, the words that came out of her mouth on the TV sounded funny, so I said that on my website on the Internet.

Well, I wouldn't be so sure that those sweatpants were a misstep, Zach. See, the most important thing about style is that you're comfortable and have nice quadriceps. Granted, sweats are not the most stylish attire on the average-quadded, but on the right set of quads (and glutes, for that matter), a pair of sweats can be positively transcendent. Not really a comment on Judy, but I think I saw you at the Arclight last night, going up the stairs to the parking lot as I was coming down. I was too embarrassed and it was too quick to say hi and I thought it might creep you out, plus I was there with my girlfriend and she would have given me a load of shit for being such an Internet nerd on the Internet, but if it was you, hi. It's actually a surprisingly simple concept. Birdhouse exists for people who consider Twitter a forum for expression through the written word. Most people who express themselves through writing do so with the opportunity to edit at least minimally before sharing their words, whether this means spellcheck, finding a synonym, or rephrasing an idea. It's Step 2 of writing. Rewrite.

You're right: funny people are funny. But one thing I DO know about funny people is that they often rewrite their jokes to make them even funnier. Birdhouse makes no claims or promises that its users will be more funny. It is only what it claims to be: a notepad for Twitter. Very simple. It provides a place for Twitter users to jot their ideas before making them public.
