I dugg it and will recommend it as a must-read to anyone I discuss this with. Fantastic use of social media and an excellent example to hold up to others.

Keep the faith.

Re: How To Be The Social Media Champion At Your Office

Best tip here in my mind: 'Solve business problems with social media tools." Not only does this provide solid proof of SM's effectiveness, it also forces you to think of new ways to solve problems through social media.

I would add: don't look down on people who don't yet use or understand social media tools. If you're patient and respectful you'll get much further with people. And they will love you for introducing them to these powerful tools. They are intimidating for some.

Thanks for getting us thinking about this, Jason.

Re: Want more twitter followers? Fuhgetaboutit.

I've met some great people through twitter, too. So far, I find they are very much as they portray themselves online. As for the post changing anyone's behavior, I sometimes wonder if the people who need to see this stuff would even recognize themselves.

Thanks for stopping by!

Re: Want more twitter followers? As the numbers start climbing conversation becomes virtually impossible. Not sure what the answer is, but I sure would miss the conversation, which is why I keep my following list realtively low. I like to read my tweet stream.

Thanks for stopping by to comment!

Re: Want more twitter followers? Take your time and build up relationships with people you find interesting. You won't be sorry. Collecting followers like baseball cards is sure to backfire, because they're not "followers" - they're people.

Thanks for stopping by!

Re: Want more twitter followers? And maybe that's why I like social media so much - the social side.

Thanks!

Re: How tweet it is…

Terrific points, Ryan. All goes to the evolution of new media, yes? Traditional media outlets ignore these expectations at their own peril. You're a model for others to follow.

Thanks for stopping by here to add your insights.

Re: How tweet it is…

"Bright and tight." So exciting to be having conversations with people who traditionally would be insulated behind layers of gatekeepers. The best part: none of them would consider you "nobody." We're all learning together.

Thanks for stopping by!

Re: How tweet it is…

It is fun, isn't it?
