I think the next set of money center bank earnings reports will make the market refocus on the problems in the commercial real estate market--this might be the catalyst I'm looking for..

AMTD Acquires thinkorswim In Cash and Stock Deal:
* AMTD announced today it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire
thinkorswim, a fast growing online brokerage firm, in a cash and stock deal
valued at approximately $606M. The deal is inline with AMTD's growth
strategy and the combined company will become the new industry leader in
both equity and options trading (adds ~17% to DARTs to 350K, 37K options to
73K, and 87K accounts with $3B in assets).

Re NatGas stocks, I like CHK the best in the NG E&P space. EP is interesting too, but you get some pipeline exposure thrown in.

I look at both a daily and intraday tick chart. We now have our second gap
lower opening today in AZO in the last four days.
I don't have any mechanically derived price target on the downside. I think
Tim posted something awhile back when he highlighted this stock as a short.
I think $100 is a good target, but I would begin to cover at $120, scaling
down to $110.

Remember the infrastructure stocks that rallied on the back of Obamamania...getting crushed today. CBI, MDR, FLR, FWLT, JEC...

last 5 minutes downside accelerating. I'm really thankful for the short ideas I've garnered hear. Thanks to Tk and the community here. Shaping up to be a great day (again).

I look occasionally at Tom DeMark's indicators, (OK I know he's got hundreds of them, so a few are bound to work from time to time) but we are very close to sell signals on AZO and PLD on TD Sequential and are already there on the TD Agg Seq and TD Agg Combo. This won't make sense to anyone who hasn't dived into this topic, but suffice it to say I'm happy to see confirmation of some of the shorts i've entered using another approach.

That's one of the things I like about being short AZO. It just made a re-test of its 52 week about 4 or 5 trading sessions ago. Even if the market turns around and rallies in the short-term, I would expect my longs to be up much more than my shorts, especially AZO. I have trouble seeing AZO breaking out above $140 to make new 52 week highs.

I followed Tim and got long some UNG, USO today and added a raft of other names I like in the Energy/Oil&Gas space like CHK, HK, EOG and PCZ. I bought XLE calls instead of playing with DIG/DUG, and I converted my long SRS calls into a call spread (Feb 65/80).
