With longer tenure of users, you as the game developer have more opportunities to tune and improve your:

- CPI (cost per install)
- Life time K (viral acquisition over the lifetime of the user)
- Conversion to pay
- ARPPU (average revenue per paying user)
- LTV (life time value)

Also, tracking your CAC vs LTV per source (channel acquired, ad network, source of traffic) helps with cutting off unprofitable campaigns.

2. Tools to measure: Kontagent, MixPanel, KISSMetrics, Google Analytics

3. Mistakes: Retention is the new viral.

-kli

Re: Five rules of thumb for social media advertising

Thanks Carnet, go Sprout!

Re: Interesting Metrics From Flash Gaming Summit | Sachin Rekhi

WOW, either he's talking about a peak month or SR is just killing it...

Re: Interesting Metrics From Flash Gaming Summit | Sachin Rekhi

Great article Sachin! We need more blogs like yours and Andrew's that actually dive deep into the metrics.

Minor note, I haven't watch the entire video yet but I don't think SR is paying out $10M/month, more like $10M/year.

Which means that if their payout structure is similar to Offerpal (assume averaged 60% to all publishers), SR is doing $17M/year vs the $40M/year that was quoted for Offerpal...

Re: Who’s got game?
