This is an excellent question. My personal understanding is that LED-cured gel polish can be cured with a UV light, but, UV-cured gel polish cannot be cured with an LED light. I would however recommend using the LED machine supplied with the kit.

I haven't tried Smashbox, but I am fish-belly white and find most too dark too. I recommend you try GOSH and MAC cosmetics. And let us know how the Smashbox one is!

I love this polish and have used it several times over the holidays. I adore nail art but am not the best at doing it. Maybe that will be one of my New Year's resolutions - to try nail art!

Great question, Josie. BB Creams are, on the whole, your moisturizer, SPF, primer and foundation all in one convenient little tube. You really don't need to apply moisturizer before hand.

There is nothing worse than getting a foundation/BB cream that is too pale, or dark! Sorry to hear that the Vichy one didn't work for you. The Marcelle one is quite lovely and is in our makeup kit.
