I agree. I appreciated most of the tips with the exception of substituting ice cubes for berries. I think that the nutritional value of berries, especially blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries, far outweighs the caloric number, and I think a fixation on calories alone is a problematic approach to not only weight loss but nutrition and health overall.

It's nice to see her looking chic and glamorous. This is a really good look for her and even a little bit unexpected, but I agree that she could have worn a more interesting top. I really like the accessories personally, the studs add just the right amount of visual interest and edge.
Something about her face seems a little off, like her foundation is a shade too light.

I have a friend with a similar complexion and hair color to this woman, and I am always telling her " Wear JEWEL TONES! ROYAL BLUES!!" I think she should stick with that color because it looks amazing on her, but probably redo everything else. What if they closed the neckline and redid everything south of the waistline in a solid royal blue and a less stiff fabric? And then washed and combed her hair at least? And redid her silly makeup?

I ran into Dan Savage at a ski resort in my home town. He was there with his whole family, and I told myself I HAD to go speak to him. I walked right up and said "excuse me, but I think you're dan savage" and he said, "well, I think I am too" and I proceeded to blubber for probably 20 minutes about how wonderful I thought he was and how his radio show and column had shaped a huge part of my adolescence and beyond...I actually started CRYING. He was very sweet and gracious but I absolutely could not hold it together. Wish I could've had a conversation with the poor guy but even getting to tell him how much he meant to me was enough.

I think you should write to Debbie, too, Tom! I'm sure she'd love the story. Ever heard comedian Tig Notaro's stand up about how she kept running into singer Taylor Dane? It's hilarious.

The plasticy looking thing totally ruins this look for me...the maroon color looks great on her, and that is a really beautiful coat. I like the white accessories, too. That shiny thing and the way it sits so high on her decolletage? Just plain weird.

I really love her fresh face here and the color combination and bold lines of this dress really go with the classic cut. She could've gone with a sassier shoe, maybe a solid color but a more exciting shape. All around though I think she looks really pulled together.
