Oh, isn't it so hard to find the balance. The most important thing is that you did get out of the card to let the person know that you were there. It amazes me how many stories I read where the parents think it is safe to let the child walk the couple of blocks to the birthday part alone. These perpetrators are looking for children who are alone. I am so grateful that I am a stay at home mom, so that I can always be there for my children.

Ok, now it is my turn to laugh because before I had children. I use to judge this family that use to sit at the front row of the chapel and every week they would drag their child out. We would say ...when we have children... The God gave me my oldest. He has always been a challenge. No matter how many parenting books we have read, advice we have taken from other, and so on. He is a free spirit with a very strong will who it does not come naturally to be obedient. Thankfully the next two were easy. However, I do know that this child will never just follow and will be something great someday. I now have more compassion for other parents who struggle because parenting is not easy. It also helps me to understand Heavenly Father better too because he has to deal with all us free spirits.

I use to love carving stamps when I was a child. The other day whent the rain was pouring down, I mad Roman stamps out of potatoes. He had so much fun using the stamps. Love the little cars.

Hi! I usually do not leave a comment because you get so many, but I was wondering if you had anything in the works to celebrate and participate in CHD awareness. I know you have done some cancer support and for support towards those who might lose a baby, but CHD is the number one birth defect. If so, I would like to spread the word because I know you have the power to really raise a hugh amount of money.

In regards to the heart pins, wait until Valentines and then go to the Childrens hospital and hand them out. Just a smal simple gesture will make give other parents so much hope. CHD is the number one birth defect and the least funded.

What a miracle! I have been hanging around the computer all afternoon waiting for this glorious news. GOd is great and thankfully he puts men on earth who he gives the courage to try new things. Without this there would not be the advancements that have been made in the field of Congenital Heart Disease. Yahoo for Stellan! Yahoo for the Dr.'s ! Yahoo for all the children who will come after Stellan who might benefit from this procedure. Yeah! I am jumping for joy!

We will keep you in our prayers. While we haven't had to have an ablation my son has had open heart surgery, so I can relate. It is the worst feeling to hand over your child and trust that it will work out. Heavenly Father is with you!

Thanks for the tip! I am always looking for books that will engage my boys in reading. Not always an easy thing. A tip for you if you haven't read it yet is a book called The Help. It is excellant and is a book I could re-read. It should be required reading. On your last post, being a parent is never easy and I am definately not good at it by any means. It is so hard to find what will make them understand the consequences of their actions. It sounds like you did the right thing. We have had our share of battel wounds around here with 3 boys the testosterone level can get out of control sometimes.
