Whatever makes you think that? ;-p

Actually, I agree with you - how often does that happen!? lol I do think there is a side to the internet that mirrors many aspects of socialism; the open source movement, for example. The interesting thing is, many of the people who provide something for free do go on to make a good living, often better than those who were only ever interested in financial gain.

Re: A pox on kilt-wearing, neon green leprechauns

lol Gift shops, opps sorry, I meant shoppes, in London are full of such things.

Re: Musical Monday: Pachelbel's Canon in D Major

For the humourly challenged - yes, I know they didn't have videos in those days.

Re: Musical Monday: Pachelbel's Canon in D Major

Glad you liked it :-) It's one of my favourite pieces of music

Re: It is 2009 isn't it?

It's like a blast from the past isn't it lol

Re: It is 2009 isn't it?

You know it's what God would want ;-)

Re: It is 2009 isn't it?

Hi Heather :-)

I agree with you about parenting being about more than just the birth; it is, or should be, about raising well adjusted adults - and part of that process involves, in my opinion, teaching children that their mothers are human beings too, and are deserving of respect and appreciation.

My main issue was with the religious tone. I have very strong feelings about the way most religions treat women, and mothers in particular, especially the idea that service to one's family should be an end in itself, no appreciation is necessary. That attitude kept women 'in their place' for centuries, and the entrepreneurs you are helping would not even exist if it was still widely believed. In some parts of the world it is still a reality of everyday life, I wouldn't want to live in such a place, and I have a feeling you will feel the same.

Thanks for the comment! I look forward to your tweets :-)

Re: This post is cancelled due to a shortage of weirdos

Yes, they are.
