My brother was at Luna Park on Thursday. He said Owens was likely the fan favourite that night, with the crowd singing 'dale gordo' (let's go fatty) throughout his match. Believe it or not, calling somebody 'fatty' is a term of endearment in my home country most of the times... :-)

There's a chance that the owner's name is Gay. It's not such an uncommon last name... I remember a goalkeeper who played for Independiente in the '70s and '80s and his name was Carlos Gay.

That's excellent news!!! Are we finally going to get to the point where our city is going to get serious about giving tourists a good service, or will we continue with the old practice of half-assed jobs and having people coming and opening the stores in the village for two months only, selling bad merchandise at prohibitive prices and then turning the 83 into a ghost town between March and November?

OK, one can only hope...
