This one is good though.
Timothy Leary (of LSD fame) was giving a lecture on LSD, and how it works on the body. A woman was sitting the front row, nodding and smiling at everything he said. He thought to himself, how can she possibly understand the altered states of consciousness that occur with LSD? After the lecture, he found the woman and said "Ma'am, how can you relate to the altered states of consciousness under LSD?" She smiled, leaned forward and pattted his hand, and said "Honey, I knit".

Re: Book Recommendations

Inkdarkmoon Today 04:41 PM
My fav joke is far too off-color to post here--Susan, I will have to tell you it in person some day when I make it to the farm..

Re: Book Recommendations

wendy Today 06:11 PM
Jokes? That was nearly 20 years ago and now I am part of an adult/amateur ensemble that mets every month to play.

Re: From Sheepville to Cowtown

LOL. I am also being treated for breast cancer at Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC. Last week, while waiting for my daily treatment, I met a 15yr. old darling girl and her father from Marlboro, NY. She is being treated for cancer as well. I was thinking today on my trip home, I would knit her something warm to comfort her during her daily trip and commute to comfort her. I am not sure what I will knit (maybe a throw for the car ride down or a beautiful scarf to keep her head and neck warm).
I hope I win!
Kathleen M. I’d use patterns below in bars (ladder stitch, seed stitch, …) separated by a thin cable. I’d dye the wonderful colors myself using slate blue, forest green, black, burnt orange, and a deep burgundy. The tunic would have a ‘slit’ neck with tie icords, and side slits (I’m an ample) for comfort. I designed the fair isle pattern myself. It creates a “mountain-y” sunset pattern, that reminds me of my years living in Colorado. Thats what I’d do with your wonderful creamy yarn.

Re: More Favorite Pics

Catyknit on Ravelry Today 05:17 PM
So many great ideas...knitting first pair of socks, walking, healthier meals, etc.

Re: Now with 33% more lamby goodness!

What great pictures. However, the kerning on the word mark is pretty poor, especially between the B and R and the R and E of breast and the N and C of cancer. It's really detracting from the logo for me.
