I chose them over the bat'leth because Worf seemed to use them on and off and I'd already drawn Jadzia with a bat'leth in her card. I like though how there is a bit of an effort to try and make the weaponry work. The redesigned ones in Discovery notwithstanding.

I thought this was a new era of story arcs and integrated storylines - I guess my comment should have read "I would hope that they wouldn't just poke canon for no compelling reason"

I wonder if the wonky canon reference will come into play during season 2 - whilst still reasonably shaky the idea of Spock being exposed to the theoretical possibility recrystallizing dilithium would explain why he had the idea in Star Trek IV instead of Scotty. I can't imagine they'd introduce compelling alien races only to do nothing with them later on?

Oh disappointed to hear they gloss over Galoob as they is my current obsession in Star Trek toy collectables - I remember when they first brought out the TNG toys and eventually sifting through a huge "reduced" bin of them. I had a Data in my hands and couldn't understand where Spock and Kirk were - didn't help they came out here in Australia before the show LOL.

I think the novel mentions the tea but it’s very clearly a tea set - it would be inappropriate to serve coffee in that teacup (English mother)
