You have to click the above link to get to the article. Sorry if it is confusing. I am going to look at a better way to do this moving forward.

Take care,

Leeanne

Re: Web Creative from Leeanne Lowe

Hey Andy, no worries. This morning I was remembering wading through the snow in Wolfville with icicles in our hair, which may have been the day we thought it was a good idea for me to cut your hair with kitchen scissors. And the night your neighbour called the cops thinking you were having a party and it was just me and you very, very drunk with Guns n' Roses blasting. These are the things I remember. And that you always had faith in me, you never let me down, you were always patient, always kind, and that every single person who met you liked you instantly and liked me because obviously there must be something good about me if you thought I was so great and believed in me so unquestionably.

I miss you.

Re: Web Creative from Leeanne Lowe

I'm interested to see what other industry bods think on this.

Re: Web Creative from Leeanne Lowe

Sorry about that guys. Yes, I am so very sad to tell you that you have the right person. After you left Bermuda he moved to Canada himself for several years , he also lived in Ireland and the US. He never lost his love for metal (and would be happy to hear you say he was the one who introduced you to it!) and became a very accomplished guitarist. He was a Web Programmer and wrote several successful web software applications - which is how he made his living. He remained the great guy you remember and would have been surprised that you remembered him so well because he always underestimated just how much of an impact he had on people. Thanks again for your message - I think that this picture may be how you remember him http://tinyurl.com/6m6gmr

Kind Regards, Leeanne

Re: Jeremiah Seth Lowe 1976 - 2006

If I keep holding out,... will the light shine through?
Under this broken roof,... it's only rain that I feel
I've been wishing out the days,... come back

I have been planning out,... all that I'd say to you
Since you slipped away,... know that I still remain true
I've been wishing out the days,...

Please say, that if you hadn't of gone now
I wouldn't have lost you another way
From wherever you are,... come back

And these days, they linger on
And in the night, as I'm waiting on
The real possibility I may meet you in my dream
I go to sleep

If I don't fall apart,.... will the memories stay clear?
So you had to go,..... and I had to remain here

But the strangest thing to date
So far away
And yet you feel so close
And I'm not gonna question it any other way

There must be an open door
For you to
Come back

And the days, they linger on
And every night, what I'm waiting for
Is the real possibility I may meet you in my dream

And sometimes you're there
And you're talking back to me
Come the morning I could swear you're next to me

And it's okay.

(Come Back - Pearl Jam)
http://blip.fm/profile/leel...

Re: Web Creative from Leeanne Lowe

Fixed the positioning of the comment box! As you can see.

As for HTML email - yes, bit of a nightmare.

Many people, including me, were hoping for standards compliant HTML email using valid XHTML and CSS. That way developing a to be sent via email would be not so different to a page for the web, It was almost working too, then Outlook 97 was relased (which for reasons only known to MIcrosoft uses the Word rendering engine for HTML emails).

Now the only way to ensure your email is gojing to look exactly how you want it to is to go back to using nested tables and inline styling with depricated tags like <font> (so going back in time 10 years basically). Which is depressing but fine for people like me who used to build sites like that back in the day, but a bizarre and alien way of constructing a page for those who only ever worked in XHTM/CSS.

I am in the process of tagging all the old content on this blog and I know that I have made numerous links to articles about creating HTLM emails, so hopefully finding them will soon just be a matter of clicking a link.

In the mean time, the email standards project is web site is invaluable:
http://www.email-standards....

Re: Web Creative from Leeanne Lowe

I am surprised by the position of the comment box too!
