I'm actually really really bad about doing cardio know... I don't really do it at all...hahaha :)

Re: Article on Stretching from the NY Times

Well, I agree totally, I don't stretch before I lift weights because you loose some of you power for lifting when you stretch your muscles out. When you muscles are tight you can power through more... but I do think in terns of ballet, you don't need that kind of power and you should stretch out your muscles once you have warmed your body out. In ballet you need the flexibilty not as much as the "power" strength. Does that make sense?

Re: NYC Neighborhoods

Hey Jaime... thanks for thinking of me :) I loved living in Fort Greene, Brooklyn which is very close to Bedford (also trendy). I lived in the nicest, big apartment (I even had a walk in closet). It was very close to the Target (walking distance) but I usually rode the C (blue line) into the city. Forte Greene has a small park up the street that I use to run in and it had a cute shopping area that I did my laundry in and ate around. My old boss Rita, lives in a brown stone down the street. There were lots of mixed couples families in the neighborhood, but you do have to be a little careful with the parts of the neighboorhood around you. Its the only place I've ever seen a bullet proof post office windows....hahaha, but I only went there once in the 4 months I lived there (plus, I never normally went in that directions, so it never bothered me otherwise). :) I've also heard great things about Greenpoint and Park Slope. I loved Fort Greene b/c we had small patches of grass in the neighboorhoods on the streets. Let me know where you end up. My old apartment was on Carlton Ave, off of Fulton. :)

Re: This is a neat idea

I TOTALLY WOULD DO THIS... Richmond isn't so bad, but I agree with been ther done that!
Vika, can I come stay in the summers in your big house in NYC?

Re: Sarah’s Ongoing Debate about Living in NYC

I have to say, somehow, I don't miss it, maybe the fact that I've completely removed myself from the city and the surrounding areas. I agree, there are novelaty things about NYC that you'll always miss, but its different for everyone. I'd weight your options vs. what you are aspiring too... if you want to settle down and have a family and enjoy a house, etc. then its different, but if you still want to enjoy the "big city" and the things that come with, that'll make a difference for sure. Regardless of where you are, your sure to think at some point "the grass is always greener on the other side" :)
PS. Kitty Hawk was a great vacation spot... good ol' goombays and Portacall :)

Re: Sarah’s Ongoing Debate about Living in NYC

I agree... my pros definitely out weighted my cons in the long run... but there are some great things about New York, including VIKA :) NC sounds nice... i like it there too.... when are you thinking of leaving?
