Well that's the idea, if I don't injure myself (I had a stress fracture in February, so I feel like I have to add that disclaimer). I loved reading about your experience running it last year; seems like such a great marathon, I can't wait!

Re: http://emphasisadded.tumblr.com/post/913980071

I love your blog and will be looking for you on 10.10.10!
Laurel (runonempty)

Re: http://www.mdfsmash.com/post/573727451

Awesome, I will! Well it's not usually about candy, if that's what you're thinking—hate to disappoint. It's generally about overpriced clothes and stuff... But sometimes they talk about restaurants and cool food companies and stuff! http://www.dailycandy.com/a...

Re: Recovery?

Yeah, I agree with MC—probably only a few days since you're in good shape. I mean, I know people who run again like 3 days after a marathon; it just depends on what kind of shape you're in and if you WANT to run again. Running a little this week could help, too. I personally think it's fine to completely stop running for a few weeks if you want. When I start running again after a break, I don't find it especially hard—I find it new and fun again!

What I suggest and I personally will do... find a training schedule (Hal Higdon is my man), see when that'll have you start training (prob early June), and make sure you're running a decent amount (maybe 15 miles or so/week) for the 3 or 4 weeks leading up to that. (So if you have no base, you'll obviously want to start building up even earlier than that.) Actually I just looked at what Hal says for novice marathoners: "You should be able to comfortably run distances between 3 and 6 miles. You should be training 3-5 days a week, averaging 15-25 miles a week."

I can talk nonstop about marathons, and you know where to find me whenever you wanna chat! :)

Re: Sweet Potato Chili Recipe!

ooh, I've never thought of putting sweet potato in chili!

Re: Pimp Juice

If I attended a wedding that used this as the entrance song for the wedding party, I would think it's the coolest wedding ever.

Re: http://losingweightinthecity.com/post/458172168

Hey, I haven't run five miles in six weeks! :)

Re: An hour with a trainer the day after St. Patty’s Day?

I don't get it, man...
