The Kool-aid comment is sick! I know people that survived Jonestown and my family knew the mother of ONE of the children that was kidnapped by Jones. I am very concerned because I have a four yr old that will be starting school soon. I agree we need to cut from the top. We do not need that many administrators or administrator assistance. I have some BIG problems with public education. My child's speach is delayed. I took her to line street for an evaluation. I was told that her speach was not delayed enough to get help, yet there were lots of non-english speaking kids getting help. That has to be expensive! Another thing I am concerned about is homosexual education. "Tango Make Three" is REQUIRED reading to 2nd graders in Alemeda County. Are we next? SB 572, Harvey Milk Day! Milk was a Jim Jones supporter. I do not want to have to take my kid out of school every May 22 and tell her the TRUTH about who Milk was. In Gilroy schools 11yr old are being taught about Eddie Arroyo. Not the truth about his life. How do you teacher feel about this forced homosexual indoctination of our kids??? I am not a bigot. I just think this subject is confusing to young kids and it does not belong in our schools.

do not cut weekend hours, that is when students study. I love Miss Carol's class. It is hard to find a book in this library and a lot of the staff is grumpy and they let you know that they feel put out when you ask for help. I bet one hard working person can take the place of a few lazy butts..

KaCrow, Good thing you caught her. I hope her name and her face is on the front page of the paper if she gets convicted. That will make is hard for her to get a job like that again. I am sure your mother was not the first victim nor the last. If she is a licenced care giver she should loose her licence. Send a letter to her licencing agency and tell them your side of the story. We do not need people like her caring for those that can not care for themselves.

Teacher can not take all the blame for poor grades of their students. Parents need to step-up and get involed with their kids. If a kid goes home to a house full of loosers, how can you expect him to do well. If you are going to evaluate the teachers you need to evaluate the parents too. If my kid is not doing well in a class, It is my job to find out why and what I can do to help him!

Democrat.. She voted to put pro-homosexual education is our schools for elementary school children a few years back. If you want your elementary school child reading "King and King" and "Heather Has Two Mommys" then she is your gal!. I am sure she approves of Harvey Milk Day too. May 22 will be forced gay day for our 5+ year olds. SB 572. It passed the Senate and is waiting for the Governer to sign. This is the crap you get when the Democrats are in power.

I did meet a gal that was harassed by Mike and I think she will be called to testify. Mike accused her of doing something illegal that she did not do. He told her that he would drop the ticket for a sexual favor. She took the ticket and filed a complait that no one listen to. Then when all this stuff came out about what a creep Mike is she got a call from the D.As office. I believe her.

Good comment Trav. I think that Hazel is just another crazy liberal. She can't understand BIG words. I agree with you that we need TORT reform too but we will not see much of that under OBAMA. Hazel needs to spend a day sitting in an emergency room on a weekend. She needs to see who is using our Emergency Rooms and if these are really Emergencies. We can't turn anyone away, even if they are here illegally.

My great-grandparents fled communist Russia and now I am afraid I am going to have to raise my kid in socialist America. We have the BEST health care system in the world. We have helicopter pads at almost every hospital so we can fly you to the best place available to care for you regaurdless if you have insurance or not. I worked at many different hospitals in the past 18 years.... I want to know what you think is so bad and what you think needs fixing! If it is cost then stop treating people that are in this country illegally for anything other than emergency care. This action alone could possibly save our health care problem. And yes, Obama is a Marxist! I did not vote for him!!

What are you talking about? Treating non-citizens is very costly. If there was no one to pick the veggies our engineers would invent something. On the corner of Union and San Beneto st is low income/ farm worker housing. Every one of those appts. has a satilite dish. Look at the nice trucks parked outside. There is always a dead dog or cat on the road in front of these projects. How can you not miss this. If you can afford satilite dish and a car payment you can afford to pay for your own health insurance. I am sick of paying the bills. I rather pay 2 bucks for a head of lettus.

oh yeah... I forgot to mention the cost of the flu this year. We know where that came from. Brain worms! Gross! There are numerious third-world diseases we are treating. We will save so much money if we just say know and send them home. We should be checking all these guys before they hit the fields and not after we have been exposed to these illnesses that cost tons of money to treat.

Conservative are cons?? I have never met pot smoking, uneducated, give me all your hard earned money conservative. I know lots of libs like that! I work hard for my money and I am sick of driving by low income housing and seeing nice cars and satilite dishes! If you can afford your car payment and a dish you should be paying for your own health care. Just look for yourself on the corner of Union and San Beneto. I am busting my butt and my patients refuse to thank me in English. If we cut out all free health care to thoses that are here illegally and tax payer were not paying for their children to be born here, I bet this health care problem would be solved. It can cost close to 1/2 million to treat drug resistant TB. If we just say NO and send them back home, we would save a ton of cash.

Hey all you Nurses and professional people working your butts off. How about a large pay cut? Do your really think we are going to be paid what we make now with Obama care? Look what health care workers make in sociolist countrys...That is where we are headed. I HAVE had patients from Canada paying cash for cancer surgery and treatment. Maybe because they were told they were to old or had to wait. I should have asked.

I was one of the people that called the Sheriff to report someone going though my trash. He did not look homeless, more Mexican National. I was worried he was looking for I.Ds to steal. He was not that interested in my cans. We live on a private road and he was driving around going from house to house going though garbage. I shred my trash but not everyone is that careful.
