My sister bought me this book when my older kids were little and I've always loved it. In fact, we're on our second copy. One of the few books I replaced when it wore out.

I agree. I listened to one as an audiobook and it had me rolling my eyes. The romance book/movie ending right when the real romance is beginning is one of the major flaws of the genre, IMHO. And I HATE emotional manipulation when I read. The older I get the more I resent it because I can tell what they're doing and I still tear up.

I have to admit that I do read a certain author that plugs out formulaic books. They are mysteries and they drive me a little nuts, but when I see one I haven't written, I pick it up and read it.

I completely agree. With the exception of my family and maybe a couple close friends, I would prefer to communicate solely by email and text. And even family and friends, I only answer if I'm wanting to chat. If it is for information giving (meet ups, questions, etc) I prefer texting. I text my husband twice as often as I call him.

I do rely heavily on reviews. My top reviewers (of which you are included) are always honest, give a quick rating and overall written review, and include mention of questionable content (I'm not a fan of swearing or graphic scenes in my reading). After a time I get a feel for how much I agree with a good reviewer so I can successfully judge how I will like a book despite whether they liked it or not.

If someone always gives glowing reviews, I stop listening to them. I just had a friend give a glowing review on another friend's book which I tried to read and found TERRIBLE. It made me sort of sad. That said, I have a real-life friend whose book comes out next month and I'm worried what I will say if I don't like the book. So far I've been holding off promoting it until I've read it (and hoping I really like it so this is not an issue).

Workout and entertainment? That is hard to beat! I have been known to answer my cell phone while on the treadmill, but the heavy breathing makes me hard to understand. I would take it out of an armband, first, though.

I tend to just think of the characters abstractly when I read, but I also tend to gloss over physical descriptions. So I am rarely even close to correct.

This book has been on my to-read list for a long time. Unfortunately, I heard a podcast about her right after adding it to my list and they threw doubt on a lot of her history. So I keep putting off reading the book, even though I enjoyed her other books.

That is great news! I did get the youngest four to sleep in as long as possible. Made the morning more hectic, but I'm hoping their days go more smoothly.

I have tried almost everything on my floors and so far they all leave a streaky film. I will have to look for that, though. Anything to solve MFS.

Those eight hours are the only time I have to clean all week. I just do quick here and there upkeep the rest of the time. Thinking I've done my penance for the entire week helps me keep motivated.

I'm still searching for the right thing for my floors here. In Connecticut I used the Shark Steam Mop on my tile and wood floors and LOVED it. Worked on all floor types AND soda. But in the new house it left horrible streaks on my wood floors (I guess it is a different wood finish).

Right now I am using a bucket of water and vinegar for the wood. When I get to the tile, I spray a pinesol mixture and use the same bucket/water as I did on the wood. It seems to be the best thing right now, but the footprints on the wood come back really quickly and I'd like to find something that prevents that.
