Many cartoonists (Dash Shaw, Dean Haspiel, Emily Flake, Jeffrey Brown, and others) have shared playlists for their book as part of the Book Notes feature on my website, Largehearted Boy:

I once read that you should shelve books together that would be good friends. I shelve fiction by author (with nonfiction books by those authors included), biography and history, graphic novels, and cookbooks together.
