I had one in our last house in France and the seams were constantly full of gunk. A solid stone sink is much more expensive, but worth the money if you want stone. I did not find that dinnerware or glasses broke more easily than in a regular sink.

Re: Creative Fuel: Mobile Espresso in Ireland - by Alexa Hotz

A coffee truck is great, but a wine truck is even better! My husband makes locally grown organic cornichons every year and is always struggling to find pieces of broken plates to weigh them down during the lactic fermentation! Wonder if there's any way I can get them to ship one to France....

Re: $1,000 Giveaway from Chairish - by Remodelista Team

Any chance we can convince them to do a European version? I have some wonderful things in my attic here in Southern France just waiting to be loved again.

Re: A new wine conversation

Ooh, there's a lot of bright, clashing colors in that picture, good thing Gabriella is in the middle to break it up a bit!! I have never seen a scorpion in January, but of course there's always a first, and of course it's in Alice's bedroom!!! Thanks for the great post and kind words Alice!!

Re: ASF Wine of the Year

Happy New Year Alice! That has never happened to me!! It's probably because I'm too nice and not demanding enough. Well done Alice!!

My problem though, is that sparring with the sommelier like that would have ruined my evening, I it would have made me too preoccupied with the situation. Does that happen to you, or do you just let it go???
