Your number 3 has a sold out concert at Soma Thursday night..... and she sold out Club Nokia on Friday. Those LA Live venues I think are all a pretty good size.

Even if they wanted to use eminent domain for the main project, they can't. Not as long as the stadium is privately funded. If they wanted to fund it publicly, then perhaps a case could be made but I don't think anybody in their right mind wants to open that can of worms.

Now, they could use it to upgrade the roads in the area. Regardless of the stadium, upgrading those roads isn't a half bad idea.

From what I've seen, I could see this as being a "Facebook 3.0" type deal. I don't know what would have to be reworked on the back-end (probably a lot) but on the front-end I would imagine there would be minimal changes needed. Then again, I'm saying this not really having any first hand experience with Wave.

Didn't Wal-Mart attempt a social network for teens a few years back to promote their own brands? As I recall, it didn't do so well and was eventually shuttered. I have yet to check out this Kmart attempt for myself, but from what I read here it sounds a lot like Amazon meets Reddit, meets MySpace.
