Were they right? Oh hell no!!! But "bundling" is more in many verticals that your simple statement. You are in a silo. That said, I don't disagree, but you just scratched the surface of many "legacy" brands. More that this scope. I love you brother, but this shape of the "Unbundling" movement in MANY verticals (categories of SMB and Large Local) needs the bridge, needs the management of experts that light up a network, channel and/or IMPS. Not just the Unbundling or bundling of channels. God... that is my surface level convo. So much to say. Sorry for the rant, but could say so much more.

Re: How Will The Web Monetize In 2020?

Understanding multichannel intent is the future of all digital advertising! We did a search for optimizing landing pages within ET and a PPC campaign for Marketo came up, with a compelling landing page stressing the pain points of ET. Very compelling and we identified to it. Did a quick demo and was wow'ed. Our Marketing Director knew about this system from industry folk and her eye was already on it. She did the first demo. I followed. She championed it internally and we saw the uses being strong case for us. So far we are impressed. We went the the user conference a few weeks ago. Stay tuned for more updates!

Re: 10 highlights of Google’s SEO Guide

Curious on your take on our SEO guide ;)

http://www.gannettlocal.com...

Re: Quick Tip: Tweet To Help Your Page Rank!

Angela,

Thank you. It really depends if you are focused on personal branding or business branding. If you plan to have many projects that are part of the DNA of your personal brand, then rock your personal brand. Many small businesses are solely focused on their business and their customers. Hence the recommendation above. If you are interested in more personal branding ideas, feel free to drop me an email at kevin.spidel@gannettlocal.com.

Re: Kevin Spidel — October 2010 Speaker

A little more detail...

Customer Loyalty 2.0 is an evolution from not just providing loyalty programs, but engaging your customers as word of mouth marketing agents. Empowering your customer base to re-market for you. Building customer loyalty and putting tools in the hands of your customers to become brand advocates is the next evolution in small business branding. Hope this helps.

Re: Episode 3: AZIMA Politics & Social Media Presentation

Thanks for the feedback.
