Just to add to the convo, I just got this card in the mail today and it looks like for the life of your time with this card you will be Platinum Elite automatically - regardless of how much you spend each year. Not sure how long that will last, but it spells it out clearly in the card paperwork I received. That plus 70K points is more than enough reason to grab this card. I don't plan on using points anywhere other than Intercontinental, but that still makes this worth it!

I fear you are not correct. Well, I will say as someone who has used Apple products since before it was the "cool" thing to do and as someone who was awake in the middle of the night and had my watch pre-ordered by 5 minutes after the hour, to not receive my watch today has damaged my opinion of Apple. And there are thousands of fanatics who feel the same way and many of those people are bitching about it online. If that isn't brand damaging, I don't what is. Is it going to cause Apple to go under? No. But will people be fired from this debacle? You bet your ass they will. So, yes, it is brand damaging. Just not irreparable damage.

I can understand where you are coming from, but the way I have experienced labels - they have always been in a derogatory fashion, labels like fag, gay, queer, etc. I may be all of those things, but I would prefer not to be called them by anyone. I am a human, just like the people who use those words and I certainly wouldn't label myself as those things to feel less alone. I would find a friend or confidant and build a relationship. I'm Kris, I'm not a label.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but ultimately I've seen labels do more harm than good. And really, who cares if Margaret Cho (or any of these other people) is a lesbian or gay or bisexual, it's not my business.

Regardless, this is probably the LOWEST of the LOW as far as I am concerned. In Kansas City, I have never had that problem, I have been admitted to the hospital once in the six years AJ and I have been together and the hospital was so considerate about him being in the ER with me and then with me for tests, etc. I really thought we were making progress, then this kind of jackass starts to spew his crap. Ugh, politicians!

Considering the iPod is one of the hottest holiday gifts each year and a destination shopping Orem for most who purchase it, I can't imagine this being true. It's not the same price point as a case of Coke and likely has more importance on Costco's shelves. I would personally be shocked if Costco drops the iPod.

The interesting part of this particular case is less about the whole overselling of the Groupon which the photog would never be able to deliver upon and more about the fact that she stole images from other professional photographers and used them for her website. She might be a photographer, but I highly doubt she is a professional -- and as far as this case was concerned she was a fraud and could likely face criminal charges.

Very unfortunate from every angle.

I don't really see Ping ever becoming a huge mainstream way of communicating or sharing WOM. I signed up and checked it out and it is a clunky mess. Sure, everything helps, especially when you are an indie artist, but Ping IMHO is the worst thing Apple has ever done. They would have been far better off partnering with something like Twitter. WASTE. OF. TIME.

If Judge Joe Brown thinks that a "Professional Photographer" uses a Canon XTi and charges $1,300 for a wedding -- he is more ignorant than he appears in the clip.

I would love to know if she ever claimed to be a "Professional".

In the end, her attitude got the best of her. She should have composed herself, but obviously she let her emotions get the best of her. It's a shame really, because she would have been able to win on so many counts if she had a lawyer.

This is the first Apple device that I have not been uber-excited about. So, honestly, delay or no delay -- I still won't be purchasing it.

Honestly though, if Apple wants to make sure more people purchase it -- it would behoove them to delay it on purpose and give everyone that front facing video camera that they want. Instead of just upsizing the iPod Touch -- this device could actually have some legs. Oh and by the way, a Verizon iPhone is long overdue -- could we have that too, while you're delaying devices!

We all know people will but this device. I DO NOT think, however this will do to tablet computing what the iPhone did to mobile phones. I am one Apple fanboy that is hugely disappointed in Apple this time and I personally feel that this giant iPod Touch is a ridiculous failure.

Ok, this is probably the most ignorant thing I have ever heard. First off, anyone that pays for the WSJ has a screw loose. There is nothing in the WSJ that you CANNOT find for free on the internet by using Google.

For a CEO, or whatever his title is, to be this clueless about the power of the internet and search engines, is a disgrace to the companies he represents. If I were on the board of directors, you can bet I would be raising some questions about his ability to lead a company in these tough economic times.
