With the images of all the things that had happended to her, you get the felling to just go in and be on her side or hlep her out. Wne you read the line"As I danced in the yard with waving arms, While he wpt like a frezzing steer." you can really see her danceing in the yard and her husbend just stanfing there, not being able to move.
