I love how the you let the brown ink bleed and flow into the watercolor, but kept some of the lines intact.

Re: Draw Tip Tuesday: What Do You Do With India Ink?

Great demonstration! My kids draw with me and I teach, so I bring along a lot of stuff because I know they will ask for something or I want to be able to share a useful tool with a student. When I'm drawing just for myself, I actually use very little of what I lug around. I am grateful though for the many tips on supplies because I wouldn't have discovered the waterbrush on my own and that's got me painting and enjoying watercolor in a way that I never have before. Thanks for the interview, Tommy. I really like how your approach strips the sketchbook back down to basics. It can be a scary thing because without all the fancy techniques, the drawing had better be good enough to stand on its own. Check out Ani DiFranco if you haven't already. She'd be a good fit with the rest of your playlist.

Re: Corner Lounge – Mike Doughty 9/27/13 | 106.1 The Corner

Would love to see Mike Doughty come to the new State Theatre in Culpeper!

Re: The Silver Fox

I for one am glad you're still blogging :-)

I have never really found my groove with my own site, and sometimes it's more of a source of guilt than inspiration. But like you, it's connected me to some really great people I would not have met otherwise.

Looking forward to seeing how you decide to move forward. Maybe it will help me get unstuck too.
