It was our cottage Paul was staying at on Lopez Sound Road. He arrived Saturday on Lopez for a few days with a group of friends from his Abbotsford, BC church, including our daughter. After attending church on Lopez Sunday morning, he went out for a jog, never to return.</p><p>Yesterday we returned Paul's belongings to his parents. They are devastated by his senseless death. Please be in prayer for them.</p><p>Our family has owned property on Lopez for 40 years. It is unbelievable that a local youth, who would know that the island is filled with bicyclists, joggers, and deer, would act in such a way. I hope that healing and forgiveness will come in time, but for now there is only pain, grief, and sadness.</p>HannahWed, 29 Jul 2009 12:34:11 -0000
