And i dont think the music was mediocre. it grows on u with time . The conspicuous melodies are iktara and wake up sid, but kya kahun and others also build over u especially with the pertinent lyrics. The music has a feel to it that fits the bill to the need of the movie. Nd special brownie point for Amit trivedi for composing Iktara. This guy is here to stay...after AAMIR and Dev D another smashing composition.

Loved the movie... a refreshing ride to say the least. Never actually found it slow. It was pragmatic, on the spot and at the same time not pedantic. It never tried to preach u anything. the best part being it never showed a gargantuan metamorphosis. the guy just found what he loved and pursued it. The story being left at that was a sensible move.

Ayan's direction was slick, contemporary and sensible. Made sure a simple story is narrated with simplicity, no hassles at all.

Ranbir came of age for sure to prove his mettle that he'd stay for long. His character reflected the perfect dilemma that many face. So u'd adore him in the scene where he prepares his first omelet and after konkana shouts abt the mess in the room, he says" but i made an omelet", and similarly u admire the change when he takes his assignment so seriously to peruse about it as well.

Konkana as usual was perfect in her part. Anupam kher and Supriya Pathak played the [art of the parents to aplomb. the interactions would make u identify(tho shouting on parents was a bit extreme, never did that). A special mention to the friends of sid here. In their small parts, they all did justice. the best part being all of them were believable characters. None looked like a celluloid bigwig.

SO thumbs up for wake up sid, for its sheer simplicity of execution and direction. A small budget movie of 13 cr can also be made without any compromise. A must watch for sure.

Durgo Pujo has such a wonderful atmosphere around the country... and nagpur always offers a fantastic ambience to welcome Goddess Durga in the city.. the city lights up completely.

It is the time to get back to the pure part within u..

Nice pics bhai..been there to this pandal and its spectacular for sure.

i've been to the store quite a few times and it is a nice place to find out stuff to satisfy the reading quench within. Tho i enjoyed odyssey as well, but this one is placed at a more strategic location. A more extensive video library would help them much more is assume.

It was actually started by the NDA govt under the Urban development programme. UPA just changed the name. The prob was our local authorities were unable to to raise even 30% of the total fund required which never got many ambitious projects going. I hope MIHAn doesnt lose the sheen due to the irresponsibility either.
