Well, that was disappointing...I was all ready to hear the future and instead I heard the same retread idea I have heard a thousand times before. If only software would magically appear without developers! I just say what I want out loud or scrawl a picture and it materializes!

Acevedo should be replaced. We hear one outrage after another from his organization. This cop, Thomas Griffin, acted in a cowardly and devious manner, attempting to lie his way out of the situation and blame the dog owner. He is unqualified to roam our streets with gun. But who put Griffin out there and keeps He and others just as bad on the streets? Art Acevedo, the buck has to stop somewhere.

This is not an isolated incident, just the latest outrage from Art Acevedo's poorly run organization. Art needs to go for putting such an unqualified and cowardly cop on the streets of Austin.

I had a very similar experience on a wet night in NYC. One second I was walking across an empty crosswalk and the next I was on the hood of a cab all the way up by the windshield. I remember the quick anger, and lingering sick feeling and shakes after I returned to my hotel.

You point is exactly right.

So you agree with the idea that evil insurance companies are the ones fighting the noble idea of government control of health care, or that Obama the community organizer is being out-organized by all these shadowy forces bussing around normal-looking people that are really Nazis in disguise?

I think the Obama administration represents almost the exact opposite of my understanding of your message and Web 2.0 in general. They focus on top-down planning and control from elites, who in this case happen to familiar with technology. Perhaps a ruling technological elite is your actual preferred solution.

In Obama's case they are doing their best to ram through a variety of left-wing partisan programs on which they would have never campaigned and in direct conflict to their professed belief in transparency and open government.

Don - you live in your perfect world of socialized medicine. Please do not support having it forced on American citizens who do not want it. Your blind support for President Obama is tarnishing you and your ideas.

BTW - your representation of the protests going on in the US is straight from the most partisan left wing blogs. Obama has already done his deal with the insurance industry and they were ready to go along when it looked like he would win (http://tinyurl.com/lu8h98). The elderly people and parents with infants that are standing up at these town halls aren't the paid goons you are making them out to be. Historically, the ones cracking heads have been your favored Democrats.
