That was fantastic and so entertaining! His demographics made it a classic. If you get a chance, check out Oprah's Flash Mob dance (you can find it through google) - last Fall, 20,000 people danced for her season premiere on the streets of Chicago. It's really a fun video to watch.

I have had this pattern in my ravelry shopping cart for months, but am afraid of it. (I've never done colorwork) After reading your post, I'm hopeful when I learn that this was a first time colorwork project.

Thank you for sharing that great story. Sometimes we get so caught up in the practical part of our days as moms that we don't realize the impressions we are making on these little people. I love your story because today, it made me put down the vacuum, the homework, and the family planner and pause to remember the most important part of my job - just being there for them. (I have four girls - I'm not sure what I'm paying back for, but I think it must be something big!)

Thanks Kathy and Pixie! Your video tutorial is a great help. I find I hold my breath when I'm doing the kitchener stitch (afraid to mess up - not sure how not breathing helps) so watching this a few times may help me to breathe!

My area was airing the show last season. For some reason, not anymore. Do you know how the folks at PBS make the decision whether to show it or not? I noticed that many larger markets are not showing it. It can't be for lack of interest. I'm sure the knitting/crochet community far out numbers those that enjoying watching "The Fascinating Habitats of the Fire Ant"!

I love the video! It really helps to envision the process of making the garment. I, too had trouble with the volume, but also, the video seemed to "stall" out a few times for me. It's probably on my end - technology is not my strong suit. I would love to see videos of the knitalongs - not just the more difficult techniques. I find that sometimes when listening, even with the simple stuff, my mind wanders more than if I'm watching it and listening.
