I never thought I would live to see the day Obey retired. . Now for Stevie Kagen. I may be wrong but I don't think he's made a formal announcement that he's running for re-election. It's not going to be a cakewalk for him because this year he's not running against John Gard. Kagen has got to go.

Andy Williams is not the "singer" LOL!!!! He's a lawyer in Green Bay,
is on either the city council or county board. I saw him at a candidate
forum in January and he came across as nasty, mean, and not at all pleasant.
He went out of his way to personally attack Roth several times. I'm glad
he's going to support the primery winner because it's not going to be him.

Sounds nice on paper but the question is will "Terri" who thinks she's the smartest woman on earth and lectures the voters about it, jump on board??? I saw her at a voter forum a few months ago and she is sooooo annoying. Tried to paint herself as part of the Tea Party movement.

Heard from a well informed source this weekend that Kagen is very very "worried" about the Nov. election and the voters of the 8th CD. He's never seen so many angry voters, never encountered such anger in town hall meetings and he's "worried". Let's just hope we don't screw it up and we can get rid of this tool!!!!

My anger continues to burn, perhaps it will never totally go away but I can still hear the Doyle thugs yelling at me as I carried signs supporting Mark Green. What were they yelling - they were yelling at Mark to "give the money back" "dirty money, dirty Mark Green". And what was this dirty money?? It was money he LEGALLY transferred from his congressional campaign to his campaign for governor - the same type of transfer that Tom Barrett did when he ran against Doyle in the primary and no one every challenged his ability to do it. It is interesting that Kagen is using the same bottom feeding lawyer Doyle used to push the money charge against Green. Kagen is a tool of the Dems, and like you I hope Roth gets his game on and gets it on hard. I have a piece of information I'm sitting on about Kagen that I can't wait to share with the Republican nominee. Hopefully it will show Kagen for the lying piece of you know what he is. (And I'm not referring to the sexual harassment that's been whispered about but no one will come forward).

I don't believe a word Kagen said about this. Didn't you recently report that he hired 3 more staffers? And I have it on good authority that he has more people working for him than the former Congressman to hold the job (that would be Mark Green). In fact when discussing this the comment was made "I don't know where he puts them all, they must be on top of each other". This must be one very very important guy to need that many employees - LOL!!!! Of course he doesn't want to comment, of course he wants to stick his head in the sand, of course he is lying. What a tool!!!!!!

Absolutely agree about her "I'm the smartest person in the room". There were times I felt she was lecturing me and if I wasn't listening she was going to come over and smack me along side my head. She is truly a very unlikeable person. I wonder what she will whine about this time when she looses in the primary. Roger Roth and Reed Ribble are both excellent candidates and I'm torn. Right now, today - I would place my money on Reed. He's got the money and he's got the background people want - never been in any public office, been a business owner and knows what it's like to create jobs. Marc Sevard is a delight, he is so genuine and honest but I know he's getting lost in the crowd, I wish he would run for Alan Lassee's seat, and Andy Williams is plain nasty - didn't like him at all. Speaking of Lassee's - Frank was there and was telling people he's probably going to run again. He didn't say what he was running for but I've read that the private sector has not been kind to him and he was eager to get back on the public dole again. I know he lost his seat by just a few votes and with the change in public attitude he may have a chance. Got to say this about him, the guy is a fiscal hawk.

Kevin - thought you might like to know this little fact. I just got home from an 8th CD candidate forum at the KC Grand in DePere. Terri McCormick said "Hayek" was someone she most admired when asked the question "name a political figure who you most admire or has influenced your life". Also she was constantly taking notes while all the other candidates were speaking, probably going to memorize their answers and incorporate it into her campaign. But really - the Hayek comment tonight. Is she getting a pre-read of your blog??

Proves once again this man is an idiot. If he thinks he's doing what the people of the 8th CD want then he better get his head out of the sand. He's just hired more people to work for him, has his office in the Paper Valley Hotel complex - how expensive is that??? But doesn't mention the fact that office is very close to his medical office in the Houdini complex - now why would anyone want to question the good doctor here? Hmmm??? Of course he's just a man of the little people.

I've been watching this race for about a week or two, saw it was getting closer, read several blogs (lucianne is my favorite) and the comments were encouraging. Sunday - after the Packers lost I made my first contribution to Scott Brown. I may do another before the week is out. Even if he doesn't win, a close loss will send chills down the Dems spines - oh wait they don't have spines!!!! GO SCOTT!!!!
By the way - why can't Wisconsin find a Scott Brown to run against Russ (ever notice how much he looks like Soupy Sales lost twin brother).

Amazing how these so called "representatives of the people" get elected and then enrich themselves on our dime. Dodd probably has never worked a day in his life in the private sector (being a lawyer doesn't count) and now he's worth millions and millions of dollars, has a retirement most of us can only dream about. No wonder there's anger bubbling in the heartland. Taxed Enough Already!!! - bring out the pitchforks and get rid of all of them before they destroy us and the country we've (and our ancestors) have worked so hard to build.

The Dems internal polls must be horrible if guys like Dorgan are jumping ship. I heard months ago that the Dems were so upset by their poll numbers they were asking the pollsters not to report the results. November 2010 can't get here fast enough. And if this isn't enough good news then this certainly is --- Mass. may be on the verge of dumping the "Kennedy" seat. The Republican candidate is closing the gap, narrowed it to 3-4 points and the Dem candidate is a real clunker, refuses to debate.

Where I come from this is known as a "Jewish fire" (I'm sorry but I'm not slamming anyone's faith). It means fire of unknown origin, suspicious in nature, maybe set by the owner or someone hired by the owner. If you are on a sinking ship, burn it, get rid of the evidence and if you are lucky and don't get caught, collect the insurance money.

Too bad I don't live in Madison. I recycle "clean" plastic bags several times a week. These are the "clean" plastic bags I bring home from the store. How do I recycle them you ask. I put my cat's poop in them when I clean his box and they work quite well - LOL.

Kagen took over the same office space in GB that former Cong. Mark Green occupied. It's on Walnut Street just a block off Monroe and no way does it rent for $2,000+ a month. If you can find out how much Mark paid you'll know that Kagen certainly did not incur a huge rent increase. If I'm not mistaken I think the building is for sale.

I know first hand former Cong. Mark Green was a tight wad with spending. He had desks, computers, etc. that were years old and when Kagen was elected all the stuff had to be returned to the Congressional offices and they just shook their heads. I wouldn't doubt it a bit if Kagen went on a spending spree and never stopped. I also know that Cong. Green's salaries were always on the low end and Kagen has paid his staff right at the top of the salary scale. They don't call him Dr. Millionaire for nothing folks. He's used to the good life, yes he's earned it in his medical practice, but now that he's not practicing anymore he continues the lifestyle on my dime. I work damn hard for what I earn and to see him throw it away disgusts me.
As much as I like Roth and would vote for him in a heart beat, I think Reid is the candidate out in front and the guy to beat right now. Yesterday Jerry Bader had on Mark Savard from Sturgeon Bay, Mark's a good guy but the interview was terrible thanks to Jerry's questions and Mark started out rambling about the big snow storm. Really didn't do anything to get my vote.

Paul Jadin is a RHINO!!!! Stay at the chamber Paul. As far as the Younkers deal, I have it on very good authority that Jadiin and current mayor Schmidt are involved up to their eyeballs in this, and yes Guy Zima is a bull dog on this issue. Don't know if you remember (I do because I'm old enough - LOL) but Zima fought tooth and nail to stop the downtown mall years and years ago. He said it was the wrong place to put a shopping mall. Does anyone remember GREGBY. Seems he was proven right but I've never heard him say "I told you so".
I heard the rumor Roth was likely to run last summer but then his decision was delayed by his call up with his national guard unit. I love Roger and think he would be an excellent representative for the people of the 8th CD. But -- the left could paint him as a possible part-time representative because he's been called up twice during his time in the State Assembly, went to Iraq and now his recent assignment. The left plays hard and dirty and would do something like that. I can just see the ad now "where is Roger when you need him". Of course they would show themselves for the scum they are by attacking him for his service to his country and military service. Years ago, Toby Roth knocked on my door, introduced himself and put a yard sign up - it was his 1st run for congress. Roger has a brother just waiting in the wings, possibly ready to jump into local or state politics too.

I saw and heard Mayor Dave Ross at the April 15th Madison tea party. What a fire ball!!! I would vote for him today if I could. He's a candidate with credibility.

Jerry Bader announced this on his talk show at least a month ago, maybe longer. She has a book that she promoting and contacted him and her run for the 8th came up again. McCormick is a very bitter woman and so are her supporters. What's going to happen this time if/when she doesn't win again. Her supporters are so bitter that they wouldn't support Gard in '06 and again in '08. They would go to Republican functions but when it came to supporting the candidate they refused. I read yesterday that the NRC is giving support to "Reed the Roofer". How's that going to sit with our little princess. Seems to me that's what pissed her off in '06, Gard got the support and she didn't. It will be fun to watch her twist in the wind again.

I know Bill is out on the east coast and I'm sure he wouldn't want to come back to GB. But I'm sure if Bader is fired Bill will be smiling because it was shortly after Bader came to GB that Bill was gone and Jerry was on the air. I listen to him only because he's the only conservative "gig" in town, can't stand his radio style, he has a very annoying laugh, takes FOREVER to get to the subject he's discussing, and I think he's gotten too big for his britches, he's let his on air radio job go to his head. Don't know if you listen to him but earlier this year he got into a feud (in his mind only) with Mark Behling over some story Jerry broke and then Mark gave the details on his show a day or two later and didn't give credit to Bader. Bader was livid, went on air and in a round about way said he could do something to Behling's career. Bader was in Madison at the tea party rally April 15th and of all the speakers he was booring.
Lots of comments left on the Press Gazette story yesterday and there are some who think he was set up, suckered in by his "source". Only time will tell, I'm sure this will all come out in the end. I loved Beck yesterday and would welcome him every day.

If he had the facts when he released the story, then why would he "retract" it. C'ome-on!!!! Grt real. Maybe now he'll be forced to find a real job rather than just sit there and wag his tongue. which obviously isn't connected to his brain. I vote to bring back Bill LuMaye.

His decision was made after seeing the polls which must be really bad. Right after the '06 election his name surfaced as the next Dem candidate for governor so he's been planning this for a long time and now he's passing up the opportunity of a life time for an open seat. Yes, I'm sure someone in Washington put big pressure on him to stay put in what they see as a safe seat. One can only hope his congressional seat will be in play too next year.
Heard on talk radio the other day that the Dems are polling so bad all across the country they are asking their pollsters not to do any polling or if they do polls not to announce the results.
Can we sey "tea parties" anyone, or taxed enough already.
